Feeling completely uninspired or just too busy to write your emails—or any content—right now? I get it. It happens to all of us, even me. Some days, the idea of starting from scratch is just… nope. But here’s the good news: there’s a cheat’s way to create content that works every time, and it doesn’t involve reinventing the wheel.

Your Secret Weapon: Repurposing

The first step in finding ways to create content when you’re stuck is to repurpose. Repurposing simply means taking content you’ve already created—emails, blog posts, social media updates, even sales pages—and giving them a second life. Sometimes it’s a copy-and-paste, sometimes it’s tweaking the format or updating the info, but it’s still your voice, your style, your expertise.

And trust me, this is powerful. You don’t have to create everything from scratch. In fact, revisiting past content is one of my go-to ways to create content when energy is low but results still need to show up.

Where to Dig for Gold

The next step in discovering ways to create content is to find what your audience already loves. Not every piece of content deserves a comeback—focus on what actually resonated.

Start with:

  • Emails: Pull reports and sort by opens and clicks. Look for the top performers. Skip the purely community or overly salesy emails. Focus on content that told a story, taught something, or inspired your audience.
  • Website and blog posts: Check page views, engagement metrics, or popular articles. Look for posts that people actually read.
  • Podcasts and videos: Take a peek at download stats or view counts. Identify episodes that continue to get traction over time.
  • Social media: Instagram, Meta, or other platforms—check engagement, saves, shares. Don’t get lost in the ads; look for content people actually reacted to.

Once you’ve collected your top 10–30 pieces, copy and paste them into a single document or spreadsheet. Include links back to the original content. Boom—you now have a library of inspiration ready to go whenever you feel stuck.

How to Repurpose Without Stress

Here’s where the magic happens. Once you’ve got your content library, there are countless ways to repurpose:

  • Emails: Resend older emails with slight tweaks to the intro or subject line. People won’t remember them from six months ago.
  • Social media: Copy content into posts, threads, reels, or carousels. Break down one tip into multiple pieces of content.
  • Blog posts & podcasts: Turn emails into blog posts, videos, or podcast episodes, or vice versa.
  • Content funnels: Add high-performing pieces to automations so future subscribers automatically receive your best stuff.

Using these techniques, you’re not just recycling—you’re creating smarter. These are sustainable ways to create content that keep you consistent without draining your creative energy.

Take It One Step Further

Once you’ve repurposed content, take a moment to ask: what new ideas does this inspire? Add them to your spreadsheet. Over time, you’ll see patterns in what your audience resonates with. This becomes a goldmine for future emails, posts, videos, and more.

And yes, you can even loop in AI tools like ChatGPT to give your content a refresh—condense, outline, or reformat—but always keep it in your voice. It’s still you, just with a little extra shortcut.

Your Next Step

Here’s your simple framework for ways to create content:

  1. Gather: Collect your top-performing content from all platforms.
  2. Organise: Put it all in a single, easy-to-access document.
  3. Repurpose: Emails, social media, blogs, podcasts—reuse in multiple formats.
  4. Expand: Ask what new ideas are inspired by this content and add them to your library.
  5. Repeat: Every 6–12 months, revisit this process so you never run out of content.

Quick recap: the secret isn’t starting from scratch. It’s knowing the ways to create content that already exists, organising it, and using it strategically. Engagement. Engagement. Engagement.
